NEGOTIATED PURCHASES SUMMARIES BELOW

DTN COMMENTS:   Formula totals for last week were mixed, somewhat higher in 
Kansas, but lower in Nebraska and Texas: KS 67,753(+241), NE 51,838(-2,469), 
TX 58,228(-17,917). Total trade volume is lower in Kansas and Nebraska:  KS 
68,691 (-9,736), NE 62,287(-17,270), TX NA confidentiality. New showlists 
appear to be mixed, higher in Texas and Kansas, but lower in 
Nebraska/Colorado. Bids and asking prices have yet to be established, and 
significant trade volume will likely be delayed until the second half of the 
week.

Beef cutouts are higher midday, especially on select product (Choice 362.73 
+1.10, Select 352.04 +6.02), with very light box movement (18.92 lds of 
choice cuts, 3.91 lds of select cuts, 5.00 lds of trim, and 8.99 lds of 
ground). Both live and feeder cattle contracts at midday are sharply higher.
